Happened to my yard too, also no specific "cause." The high point was about 2-3 weeks ago though when it was more rainy.

Horse flies are huge and sting. If it’s “house flies” there is likely something rotten nearby.

Giant flies have taken over my yard. I don't notice any dead animals. Is it all the rain? Anyone else seeing s surge in bigass flies?
