Never mind that half the time the OP's post specified that their kid WAS already admitted but the reply poster is so eager to pronounce this as impossible that they don't even notice that detail.

No shortage of this issue. First example I had read, but sort of struggled with what an impressive job might be and the subjectivity. I *think* that response felt similarly and was sarcastic.
Second example is really quite baffling. You wonder if they are new here or to these topics, but I suspect not.

It could be stupid answers:
today's was: Question: Activities - did anyone's kid list that an impressive job was obtained on his/her own?" Answer: "Mine got his lifeguarding job on his own. Also "courted the ladies." The SEC schools he applied to seemed to be impressed. He's loving life."
It could be irrelevant answers.
Today's was: Question: Service Academy admissions for a recruited athlete. Anyone btdt? I have heard all the usual criticisms of service academies, all the reasons my dc has no shot, etc. So all you anti SA warriors can save your fingers from typing. I’m looking to hear from people whose DC have had athletic recruiting experiences at service academies, what the process was like, etc. And of course if your dc ended up there, what they like or don’t like about it." Answer: "My friends dc was recruited for a sport"
