Hilarious I have 850k in retirement and still have a mortgage. Have funded the 529s though!

OP, how much did you spend on writing classes? However much it was, you should have doubled it. Possible tripled.

Lots of dumb decisions here OP. You should not have paid for overpriced private colleges and professional schools with the little money you had for retirement.

It’s the avid trading killing you. How many bad years are you talking about? I’ve been tracking net worth since 2012 and the only year I’ve been down (with adding money every year) is 2018.

You paid for college out of your retirement funds while you had 500k sitting in crypto?
Takes all kinds.

about 3 Million--1.5 million in retirement (was 2 but had tuition to pay). Couple rental properties 500,000, some crypto, liquid brokerage account, and rest in home equity.
We got crushed with private colleges and now kids getting loans for professional school.
Avid trader and beat S&P with options but have some bad years.
Feel like would have close to 2.5-3 million if not for tuition.
Household income around 300 to 400 depending on the year.
