My spouse was at Mount Vernon for a month. Wonderful care. Tip- if patient has a CPAP machine, they get a single room!

I think Adventist White Oak might have private rooms. Both facilities have a good reputation. They are covid-cautious, do ask if your loved one will be required to mask.

NRH is supposed to be good, too. Do t know anything about the others.

Two years ago I spent 10 days at Adventist Shady Grove. The care was excellent: When you called for help, someone arrived promptly, and the PT's were very good.

BUT all the rooms were doubles, and there were televisions for all with no headphones. I almost left on day 3 because of that, but they kindly transferred me to a different room with a non tv-watching roommate.

Years ago I heard negative reviews on Adventist but they may have improved.

Not those facilities, but look at the ratings on Medicare.gov and somewhat discount the more subjective measures like about being at expected level when discharged. I made a spreadsheet when I had to compare facilities for a relative in another location. Staffing level is important. I think there's also a website where you can look up sanctions from Medicare.

I am researching Acute Rehabilitation Centers and am wondering if anyone has recent experiences, good or bad, with Adventist Rehab in Rockville or Silver Spring; George Washington Hospital, Medstar National Rehab Center or Virginia Hospital Center. Thank you.
