All classes at TJ are at least honors

False

Gym and language?

Spanish may not be honors but it's more demanding than most of the other classes.

I believe this is the first time they have offered this option (only for students who have completed at Algebra II already).

There are so many science lab classes to choose from over the 4 years, this way they can fit in more of the science lab classes earlier.

A lot of science isn't as sequential as math so you can take stuff later without bottlenecking yourself out of electives.
If you want to look at these pages for planning out the coursework:

Thank you. This is helpful. It is good to know that at least one of the paths for a senior research lab DC will likely be interested in requires AP Bio to be taken in 10th grade. This requires Honors Biology/Honors Chemistry before 10th grade.

The underwater robotics/oceanography track is pretty cool, I wish i could get my kid interested in it, there is an associated competition that takes place in hawaii that is a lot of fun because the parents only have to be there to drop them off and maybe cheer a bit on the last day.

Know TJ kids won National Oceans Science Bowl, but that is virtual. What is name of the Hawaii competition you reference? Could you please give link. Thanks!

This is link for NOSB: https://nosb.org/2025-finals-competition-results/

Hunh, why did I think that was in Hawaii?

We are expecting all classes at TJ to be harder than at the base school.
