This was the late 90s before weddings became 5 day affairs and after parties with costume changes, etc.

The highlight for me was taking a long hot shower, getting in bathrobes, and scarfing down room service in bed. We both slept in until close to noon the next day!

Absolutely. A good friend of mine who got married a few weeks before we did said that they didn’t because they were too tired and I thought that was strange. Both couples still married 25 years later.

We were exhausted after a long day of ceremonies and reception and just collapsed into bed and fell asleep, LOL. We only managed to unwind on the honeymoon.
