We go to SB every year. There are no more gays there than anywhere else we go. Palm Springs, CA is a different story...it is a gay mecca but I don't really care...it has no bearing on me.

I’ve been there several times—including with my kids.

We’ve stayed at Loews and The Gale. We honestly haven’t noticed many gay people at the hotels or beach. It’s mostly an international crowd—very touristy.

The Marriott Stanton South Beach is nice. It is right on the beach. The pool can get a bit crowded and it’s not super luxury, but it’s solid. It is in a great area for delicious restaurants, right at south pointe park, walkable to all of the busier areas or you can take the free trolley or rent bikes-they have drop stations all over.

lol...the Marriot resort in Ft Lauderdale is a zoo. The Ritz and the St. Regis are much nicer and more peaceful.

Are those Marriott-brand hotels, though?

I haven't been to Ritz Coconut Grove or South Beach since before they were renovated. Nice and convenient locations.

We've done Key Biscayne Ritz. The property is nice and relaxing but a little tired.

lol...the Marriot resort in Ft Lauderdale is a zoo. The Ritz and the St. Regis are much nicer and more peaceful.

I'm looking at a trip for our 35th anniversary. We have a Marriott gift card. I'd like to stay on the beach with a nice pool and restaurants nearby. I don't know anything about Miami but the plane tickets are super low. Any recommendations? Thank you!
