Not Arlington but the Custard Shack in Belle Haven, Alexandria (Fairfax County) - just south of Old Town Alexandria off the GW Parkway. They have regular flavors and special flavors that rotate every couple of days.

I'm thinking the ice cream stands or Sonics that were popular in the northeast decades ago - you walk up and someone hands you your ice cream through a window? Or I guess at Sonic they brought food to your car but that's not necessary.

Just looking for an alternative to the parking the car and walking into a mall or strip mall kind of ice cream places.
