Sounds like something you'd see on Teen Mom.

Surprised so many people think a party where people bring gifts is weird. I know lots that had bridal showers, engagement parties, baby showers…some even made gift grab registries of buy me this.

Maybe I’m overthinking?

1. It is tacky for a relative to host a shower.

2. A diaper party is even tackier than your mother hosting your gift grab.

This sounds like the tackiest thing I’ve ever heard of!! Do not throw a party where you don’t pay for food or drinks and ask people to bring gifts! FWIW, you don’t throw your own shower which is what this is.

Have all the guys wear Depends to simulate the diapers.

Have him send out the registry link with the invite. Ridiculous men are getting off the hook on gifts again . . .

I've never heard of a diaper party. I agree with others about hosting something at your house. If you don't want to cover all the expenses, just make it a pot luck and have people sign up to bring different things like chips, drinks, etc. and host can provide pizza instead of the diapers, especially if you already had a baby shower.

Your husband is tacky and cheap. Not everything is a mercenary gift grab. If you want to have friends over for food and to watch a game, you pay for it. You do not turn it into some weird made-up "diaper party."

I will leave it to you two to figure out why you're calling it that.

He wants a party at home? Sure. He can pay for it like a grown-up!

NOT EVERYTHING SURROUNDING A WEDDING OR BABY SHOULD BE A GIFT GRAB.

Do it, just don't include the diaper part. I promise, the guys want to get together for pizza, beer, and the game, but they do not want to participate in a diaper party. And yes, if you're hosting, you pay.

WTF is a diaper party? Honestly, he sounds ridiculous and self-absorbed.

My DH wants to throw himself a diaper party, or have one of his friends help him organize one. I think all he really wants is basically one last hurrah with his friends before baby arrives.
