OLV the opposite of staunchly conservative. Very liberal Catholic mindset. Treat others as you would like to be treated; help immigrants and the poor; in the model of Pope Francis and Pope Leo.
If you want to be very political, these are Biden Catholics NOT Vance Catholics.
The kids talk, and they know who their parents voted for and have opinions. Very few voted for Trump, but there are a few in every grade. The vast majority of the families are Democrats. Catholic parishes and schools reflect their constituents. You may get more conservative Catholic parishes the farther you go out in the burbs, but schools and parishes in DC are still largely liberal.

How staunchly conservative is it? Is it old school Catholic or more of inclusive type of environment?

Another former parent of two, you'll love it, as did we. The only shortcoming, as someone else mentioned, is that the athletics facilities are lacking, but they have CYO activities, and the area has no shortage of outside/travel teams if that's of interest. Tremendous support in 8th to get the kids into high school. Great community. We wouldn't have changed a thing.

Another current parent of two, it’s an incredible school. It’s one class per grade and in middle school they are turning kids away. It’s easier to get in during the earlier years.

How challenging would it be to get into 6th grade? Are there many slots?

Current OLV parent. Sheila Martinez, the Principal, sets the tone for everything and she is AMAZING. She has high expectations without being "scary" to the kids. We love OLV and will be sad when our kids graduate .

Another Former OLV parent my children were there from Prek3-8. Great school and community. We loved the early ed, elementary and middle school. Great community. We highly recommend it. Talk to parents they will give you parents to reach out to. The principal and vice principal are rock stars.

Former OLV parent whose two children attended the school. I highly recommend it. Great community. FWIW, and looking ahead, they prep the kids for the HSPT (the high school entrance exam) exceedingly well. Its only shortcoming is that the athletic facilities are nothing close to those of many of the other schools in the area. Most parents with kids who play sports supplement it with travel teams, etc. But candidly, that’s pretty true of any school in the area, even the ones with robust teams.

I have two children in school there now. They aren't in those grades, but the school is wonderful. Nuturing community, strong academics, and more diverse than the other Catholic schools in DC we looked at. It's more than a school -- it's a whole community of families.

If they have spots, you should take them. It’s unlikely Holy Trinity has spots. Are there others you’re considering? It’s a good school. DD at Georgetown Visitation has several friends who went there and they’re all smart, lovely young women. Which doesn’t answer your questions, but the reality in DC is good spots are hard to come by so unless you have other options, and if this is close to where you’re living, you should take the slots. No res flags there

Specifically, how is the teaching and curriculum for early elementary (K-2); how diverse is the school; are you happy there - why, why not? Do teachers seem nurturing?
About us - we are Catholic and moving into DC soon for a job transfer. Have toured and like the school but want to see if I am missing anything. We have a girl and a boy (grade K) and (grade 2).
