If you want to ski in the future, stay on your continent.

I would assume the world will be burning by new years and wouldn't tie up a lot of money in planning a European trip.

Chamonix. Fly into Geneva and drive. It’s a pretty easy flat drive. You can go over to Courmayeur, via the Mont Blanc tunnel, for a day.

Or do Venice and the Dolomites (Cortina is a good base).

Be aware that you are talking about early season, which is increasingly unreliable in Europe.

Considering a week-long trip over New Years that includes a few days of skiing, but is not all skiing. Family of 4 including 2 adult kids. Parents ski some but not a lot and would be perfectly happy doing something else while the young 20 something’s ski. Looking for ease or transportation plus the ability to do something else (tour Geneva or Zurich?) for a couple of days. Have never skied in Europe so I’m not sure where to start looking.
