Yes and no to self study. There is a stated class time, but participation is not mandatory. You can watch the recording later and do the work on your own. You do not get penalized for not being online at the time of class.

No fitbit requirement - just a log (and the required fitness time is 1/2 of what FCPS is)

No drivers ed for HPE 10 - you would have to do that on your own.

Discussions are written, and part of the grade. Typically, the kid has to answer some questions, and respond to a couple of classmates' responses.

DD is doing Cohort 1. It started on June 3rd, and I think ends around July 9th. It's pretty easy, 150 minutes of exercise of some sort per week, and a bunch of tests, quizzes, and discussions.

There are two cohorts, each one for 6 weeks. Just look at the website for exact details.

The two years my kid did it we did Cohort 1 while FCPS was still in session for about 2 weks of overlap. Worked out fine.
