In fact, a president doesn't have to. This is just a fact.

Congress is a leaky vessel. No need to risk OPSEC.

Too bad for Democrats. They didn’t get the opportunity to blow it.

Obama was very much vilified.

Also, 2019 OP? Once is a typo. Twice means you're just confused.

I had March 19th on the brain. That was the day.

Bill Clinton had approval.

Obama was vilified and after was over he said “oops, the war was right, but I forgot to make a plan to win it. I didn’t know what war was before I started one.”

You can get away with a lot if you act with decorum when you order the bombs to drop and apologize afterward.

In ‘98 Clinton at least had an approved Act re: Iraq but did he make the order to bomb Iraq with congressional approval?

In 2019, did Obama make the order with congressional approval or just an OK from the UN? If with the UN, he complicated the situation bc then it seems the US is subservient to the UN. Of course, we should abide by our treaties but shouldn’t congress be consulted before the UN?

In 2025, Trump is all over the map. Not sure what the plan is there, but he certainly consulted no one but his own small council of peeps.

Seems all these presidents by passed congresses before bombing other countries. None declared war either.

Legally should they all be punished or did they act legally with their presidential powers (even if we don’t agree with the morals / ethics of their decisions)?
