For people saying SR... did y'all not see her 30k budget? You must be assuming a whole boatload of financial aid to bring it down from next year's 50k. Holy child will also be a questionable reach at 44k.
If we assume no financial aid, St. Johns, Good Counsel, and Holy Cross would all be around your budget. Your daughter should make sure to shadow each school, because that is a tool that could give her the best feel for what school is right for her. Good luck!

Curious if there is a rule of thumb for calculating the aid? Higher income might also mean higher expenses (larger house, more expensive travel etc.) so savings might not be higher and how does this come into play?

More expensive travel? What? If a high-earning family wants to spend their money on a nicer home or more costly travel, that’s their choice. Those things should not be subsidized by the school giving aid. Come on.

Some families live more cheaply to save more for their kids’ education. These are choices.
