Can you explain the logistics of how this would work, both with ensuring she stays asleep while someone is manipulating her hands and fingers while managing a average overnight staffing of one nurse to 15 to 20 patients?

Can they do it while she’s asleep?

I pay someone to do toenails (they have a business where they go to different care facilities and cut nails by appointment) and I do the fingernails.

Cut them yourself and then ask them to file them in between your visits if she will permit it.

To whom? No way is staff going to be clawed by a resident. Perhaps she'd allow you to do her nails?

Will she cooperate if you do it?

Sorry, they can't do it if she won't coöperate.

Unless you are willing to have her given a tranquilizer for nail trimmings it is too much of a liability to deal with her. No way would I do that for my mom unless she was properly medicated.

This but medicare wouldn't pay.

I think it might depend on whether there is a medical reason. My mom had arthritis in her hands, so they justified it that way.

What do you want them to do, tie her down? Give her a pedicure and pretend you are having fun pampering her or otherwise convince her to do it.
