I usually hang it on my knee. If the strap doesn't work for that, I put it in my lap under my napkin. I do like it when get get a booth so I can tuck next to me.

Are those things you hang always seemed a bit old lady to me (even though I am an old lady!) I put it in the floor. Gross but I feel like it's weird to hold it on my lap, as if i am in a dangerous subway or something (not to mention uncomfrotable)

Floor by my feet. I never put it on the back of my chair. That's a good way to get it stolen.

In my lap if it’s small, and on the floor between my feet if it’s larger. I once had something taken from my purse when it was on the back of my chair, so I don’t do that anymore.

Always in my lap or right next to me touching me. Don't let it out of your sight.

Also can buy purse hooks for this purpose that you can hang from the table.

Lap or behind my back (with the strap around me). Also concerned about theft. I never hang it on the back of the chair anyway, unless I'm right up against a wall. This is why I like a booth and can set it on the inside of the bench by the wall.

I either wear it cross body style or keep it on my lap under my napkin. If I just had a wallet or small clutch, maybe on the table. We live in DC proper so I’m super cautious about theft. If there were extra chairs at the table I would settle it on the seat and push the chair all the way under (again with my concern about theft).

If the chair has no back or a rounded back to hang it. Do you keep it in your lap, on the table, on the floor? Taking a poll…
