I drink Stash brand tea for this reason. They claim not to use them.

Don’t worry, your tea is hardly your only exposure to microplastics. They’re in the air we breathe from degrading car tires, the water we drink, and in the food we eat. While it’s important to minimize exposure where we can, it’s truly impossible to avoid it.

I switched to loose and love the fruit teas from Tiesta.

I use a glass teapot like this with a stainless steel infuser. I buy loose leaf tea like Tetleys or Ahmed from the Indian grocery store or amazon. A box of tea lasts ages.

I boil the water in an electric kettle. I've never tried putting the glass teapot on the stove top.

Republic of Tea bags are safe, I believe.

I also bought a tea ball and loose leaf tea.

I switched to loose leaf tea and use unbleached paper tea bags from Amazon.

I switched but not happily. It's on my to-do list to find a brand with safe bags.

I like the taste of loose leaf anyway, so was an easy switch.

I've done some research and it seems like tea bags do leach microplastics. I can't find anything saying which brands are safer. Did you ditch your tea stash or gone with loose tea?
