It's wild fires, op. In Canada and I think there's one in Pa. To answer your question: yes and no. I grew up here and I can remember days in August where it was hot, hazy and hard to breathe. Air quality wasn't monitored then the way it is now. Even 10 years ago, when we could check the air quality, we didn't have as many Code orange days as we have had in recent history. We never had them in May or June. We mat see code red or purple this year the way things are gooing.

Been living here at DC area for almost a decade now, and I'm surprised to see the air quality around here this time has not been so good. I know that we've had Canadian wildfires like we did back in 2023 but I've never seen it so bad for almost 2 weeks now.
