Orange man cannot fire him and if he ever tries to mess with it then markets will sink 20% instantly, and Treasury will shoot up to 8% to match Junk bond yields. If Trump would just lay-off, then Powell probably would cut the rates b/c all the inflation reports are down. But, Powell is probably resistant b/c Trump keeps criticizing him on SM. Powell does not want to appear to “bend the knee”” to Trump. Bond yields are dropping forecasting a rate cut.
