At a restaurant a woman was crying, tears, and saying to her friend, it's just so hard to be a cat mom and work full time.

Not me. I was in the room when Phyllis needed help with her arrangement.

My favorite was an afternoon I was sitting outside having a late spring drink outside in Philadelphia. Based on events going on two guys who I assume were Penn students walked by. They were on a bar crawl and were not sloppy yet but were loud.

Guy one to guy 2 "Dude, it's crazy. I mean we're graduating and it's the only semester since freshman year that I haven't had a threesome."

It was so earnest. Like borderline wholesome despite the content.

That I noticed? I was visiting my dad at his assisted living place and we were playing scrabble in the same room where some of the ladies were having a flower arranging class that was like herding hearing-impaired cats. The facilitator at one point loudly declared, "Phyllis, you need to put a lot more water in that vase." I guess you had to be there, but it was pretty funny.

Maybe it wasn’t out of context.

"I love a big burrito." Said by one guy talking to another as the strolled by me. It just struck me how funny some things sound out of context.
