Unsolicited comment- get the colonoscopy. Colon cancer is up. A friend of mine was just diagnosed with stage 4 at 45.
This. Prepping and having a colonoscopy is no big deal. Buy yourself some peace of mind.
In a weirdly related follow up, yesterday we got some bogus "extend your warranty" kind of mail, for a kind of car we've never had, and while it listed our exact address, it was addressed to Hugh Janus. I am not making this up. To be honest, it made me laugh. No idea why this happened.

For now, my bowel habits are great - twice a day like clockwork. I eat lots of fiber, water, and exercise regularly. No family history of any digestive related cancers, including a lot of older cousins. The next time I'm due, I'll get the colonoscopy.
You're due now and the insurance company is sending you the at-home poop sample as a cost savings to them, not a life saving for you.
