I use a French press and every morning I fill the old grounds with water and fling them and a large arc in the yard randomly

We spread ours sprinkled on the lawn. Our soil is mostly clay, so the coffee grounds help a lot.

Be sure they aren't flavored, as some of those might have bad ingredients like fake sweeteners in them.
Natural coffee is ok to dump in soil. It deters pests and even kills some if their is enough caffeine left in the grounds. But best to not put out toxic fake sweeteners in the soil though.

They’re great for the soil. You can use them on anything. My neighbor’s son works in a coffee shop and I get a bucket of grinds from them regularly.

False. Bad information. Coffee grounds will not kill ants or termites. They may act as a deterrent, but they are not a pesticide.

Not to mention that the pods are used so the grounds are wet. Yuck!

Umm, you do understand that they dry out without additional moisture being added and are not permanently wet?

They're fairly failsafe. No need to dilute or rinse them. You can place them practically anywhere and next to everything.

Go forth and spread them among your plants and reap the benefits!

I have a ton of coffee ground from those coffee pods. They still smell strong for coffee. Should I diluate them with water first or just spread around on the soil for vegetable plant? I have tomato, eggplant, pea, sunflower, strawberry and cucumber plant. Which plants love coffee ground? How much to put?
