This is pretty crappy for this forum. I have had to carefully manage my son being identified as ID because he is borderline to low average depending on the day and an ID diagnosis would change his educational path. Maybe give people some grace.

It seems like it would be unethical for the psychologist to provide a letter saying, I did these tests on this client, and then not to include anything about the results. I am also surprised the new tester will proceed without the first results because a summary of previous testing is always included when we have done follow up testing.

Are you saying that because your kid was sick during the first assessment, you’re having him re-tested by someone different — hoping to get better/ different results? In similar situations, I think it would be more common to have the first psychologist do additional testing — and include in the report issues that might be related to illness — and how the illness might have impacted the testing, comparing test performance from one session (when ill) to the next)

Is there actually no report from the first psychologist?
Are you asking the first psychologist to do a partial report for you? If so, it’s likely that you will have to pay for the time it takes to do this — even if it’s just a list of tests, partial results, and a note explaining why there’s not a full report.

If not, then I’m not clear what happened or what your asking. Was the testing not completed?
Is there actually no report from the first psychologist?
Are you asking the first psychologist to do a partial report for you? If so, it’s likely that you will have to pay for the time it takes to do this — even if it’s just a list of tests, partial results, and a note explaining why there’s not a full report.

So you want the doctor to produce a special report for you? They might for a fee or they might not. Not all doctors do specialized reports.

OP here: I want an official list of the tests on the letterhead from the psychologist office. I may need to share a document like this with the school, or need it for some other purpose. Have any of you proceeded forward with just your own unofficial list of tests, without a signed on letterhead document?

Don’t you have the report? If you paid for the testing you should have a report with the info. You can then verbally share the list of measures. If you wanted a new report with tests listed but no score, I think that’s a very unusual request.

Our psychologist refuses to give us a list of tests that were done without scores included. DS was sick on the day of the test so we are looking to have him retested but IQ tests cannot be repeated. New tester needs to know what tests were performed but we do not want to forward results that we are dumping in the trash. Have you dealt with this before and what did you do?
