Following. Didn't know this was an issue. Flying BA biz to Heathrow myself in a couple of months.

It's not an issue. There was a meltdown back in like 2022 or something so I think this was a post just to let everyone know OP is flying business class?

Yes, that was how I read this message too.

And if OP is flying their ancient A380 business class, this is even less of a flex than they think it is.

Just did that trip on BA last week with checked bags and no issues. We also did business class but it really wasn't much of a flex because the upgrade was offered for $400. Travel must be down to offer an upgrade at that price.

It was a new business class - the pods even had doors that slid across. I think it was an A350.

I’m laughing that OP somehow thinks flying business means the luggage handlers are less likely to misplace her luggage?

The issues were three years ago.

This, and make certain they give you the baggage receipt thingy for each item - so bag can be found if it gets lost.

I fly into Heathrow several times a year and have never had an issue checking bags. Only once have my bags not made it, and that was only because of a delayed first flight that made for a very tight connection. I made it to my flight, but my bag didn’t. It was delivered to me the next day.

I've had no issues both flying direct (from Boston) and connecting through Heathrow.

Direct from here to lhr? It is fine to check. I would only worry if you are changing there. Even then 9 times out of 10 it is fine, and the other 1/10 times it will turn up eventually.

Is Heathrow still a mess for checked luggage (losing bags)? Am flying there in a few weeks with two young kids, so would like to check if possible. Am flying BA business class, if that matters.
