+1 reputation among Latino families and coaches who’ve seen ur kid play. Being Latino or POC doesn’t hurt simply bc that is the target group the organization is trying to showcase

contact the coach on the team you'd like to join. they'll do their research and see if your kid can play. would be good to train with that coach so your player can gain familiarity with some of the other players. and they'll get some extra training plus the playing experience, it's a win win.
