Turnover is really high at Hearst yet again this year, around 1/4 of the staff leaving and from what I hear most of them are staying with DCPS in NW DC so that’s not a spouse move. Definitely continue to be concerned about the staff because they are extremely dedicated so what is causing them to flee like this to other DCPS schools 3 years in a row???

Teacher turnover has been high at our elementary school (not Hearst) because so many of the teachers spouses got DOGE’d and they are moving out of the DC area entirely

We are considering Hearst but one thing that gives us pause is the substantial teacher turnover that occured after 2022-2023 and 2023-2024. Does anyone know where there's been another notable wave of teacher departures announced this year?
