Everything I’m seeing online says that the patch will be good for the remaining life of the tire; the tires have only 16k miles on them. I have to make a 1000 mile round trip drive in the car and despite what the tire shop told me and what I’m seeing online, I’m still a little anxious. Thoughts?
You are fine. If you have a flat, you should always have a spare in the vehicle or under it. Not a tiny donut but a full size spare and a jack.
If you are in the USA, you can even call the number on your license and they send a towtruck driver out to help you change it for you if you are old or unable to do it yourself.
