Most of D.C. did not, in fact, vote for massive cuts to the National Park Service, which maintains the federal land in D.C. that OP is talking about.

Feds cut parkland services. 30% of DC land is federal and supposed to be maintained by parks, so when they stop, the you see it literally all over the place.

DCUM has noted the rise in trash around the DMV. What has happened to our street cleaning efforts? In addition, the industrial grass mowers just mow right over the lawn and the trash, even on federal park land.
