But anyway, has he opened up about the incident? If he's aware they go to the middle school, I would imagine he's going to change his mind about going there and you won't have to do anything. Loneliness beats assault. So sorry this is happening to him. I agree about filing a police report. That's serious; he could have drowned. I understand if he doesn't want to though. I hope he talks to you, his other parent, a therapist... someone. That sounds so traumatic.
It’s not strange at all. My son is 17 and is social but enjoys fishing alone. He finds it relaxing. I think he started around 13 and now even sometimes goes on day trips to fish farther sometimes alone, sometimes with others.
I’m a little confused, is the school with the bullies his current school or a new one? How big is the school?
