Mostly 15-19 though.

My son grew 9 inches between 11-13 (and has the crazy stretch marks to prove it!) and then has grown 1 inch each year since then. He's just under 6 foot. I think he's done, but just a guess. He looks proportional to me.

Still growing, but hoping to slow that roll. My kid thinks anything over 6’5” will put him “in the weird zone.” I’m not quite sure what that means except that most teens don’t want to be a serious outlier from a perceived norm.

Mine stopped by 15. Major growth was 12-14.

Like girls they are mostly done by 16 . There are some outliers who grow past that and those are usually the guys who started puberty later.. But the idea that most guys are growing and having huge growths spurts on college is just a myth.

My son grew a TON between 12 and 13.5 but has probably only grown an inch in the combined two years since (and most of that on the younger side). He's not quite 16 and I think he's done (he's still hoping for a bit more). By the time he started growing hairs on his chin the game was mostly up.

Mine has grown an inch more (to 6’3”) in the first year of college. He was among the shorter boys in middle school, so definitely started the growth spurts later than others.

One of mine stopped at 17, the other at 15.

Their friends seemed to stop anywhere from 12-13 to 17-18 just based on seeing them around. It is a huge range, I think.

My three boys all stopped growing around age 16-17. Two are 5'10", and one is 5'8".

My son grew up until he was 20.

A somewhat similar trajectory for my new 15 year old. He grew 4.5" in about 2 years and then 2.5" between 14 and 15.

The doctor said he's still Tanner stage 2 so she sees some growth left but he's the same height as DH which is around his expected height so I bet he's close to done.

Does he have a deep voice, starting to get muscles, some facial hair? Or any combination of those? Is he around the height you would’ve expected based on parents? Then probably nearly done, given he is 15 and growth has slowed. Most boys are done with height growth by 16 but not all. There is really no set pattern so it is all just a guess, in the end

Really varies.

My older DS was a late bloomer, barely grew at all in middle school and grew then grew 8 inches between ages 14-16. Currently almost 17 and has put on another 1.5 inches this year. I assume he is just about done. Currently 6’1”.

Younger DS grew 7 inches between 12-14 then slowed down. Currently 14.5 and has grown about an inch since he turned 14. I’m guessing he is also close to done. Maybe another inch or two. Currently 5’9”, maybe closer to 5’10”.

I think when growth slows down over a 6 or 12 month period, most are past the big growth spurt. I think you can also kind of tell based on physical maturity/appearance. But nothing is ever set in stone.

One of my boys stopped growing at age 20, and the other stopped growing at age 19. They only grew about an inch during that final year of growth.
