My very shy son entered two competitions and won them both. He’s an 8th grader. I’m so proud of him for putting himself out there - win or lose - he went for - worked hard, got over his anxiety and shyness and then WON. JUST AMAZING.

My son’s teacher just told us he was the brightest kid she has taught in 10 years.

DD17 by accident has discovered she is good at tutoring math. She has one student that couldn't do basic assignments when she first sat down with her in March, and ended the year acing her tests and doing her work with no help.

My son finished freshman year of high school with straight As AND he's so much happier than he was in middle school.

My autistic teen is graduating from high school. There were days when I doubted we'd get here. I'm so proud of her!

My handsome, smart, athletic, somewhat cool as far as I can tell 16 yo son says "I love you" and "please" and "thank you" a lot and it makes me feel like I've done something right.

My son, who massively struggles with reading, managed a pass advanced on his 5th grade reading, math and science SOL. He even scored in the 99th percentile in his iready. The supports and tutoring is working!

Almost every day when I’m laying in the dark next to 4 yo DS waiting for him to fall asleep, he’ll say something like “Mama I love you.” And then “can we talk about (insert random subject) today?” It makes me tear up how loving, sweet and curious he can be.

My autistic young adult is showing that he thinks about others and has a passing acquaintance with social mores. He came with a gift to his sister's and my birthday gatherings. This is something new that he didn't do before.

My teen, all sardonic and angst-filled that she is, gives very comforting cuddles. Mostly to our dog and rabbits, but also to me. I'm an honorary pet

3 year old DD is in the phase of telling us how much she loves us by spreading her arms as far out (and back) as she can. It's the best.

The world is feeling a little dark these days, so I would appreciate a bright spot.

My teen is generally shy, but really great with kids who have special needs.

My tween has a heart of gold and has written the sweetest heartfelt thank yous to teachers at the end of the year.

Stuff like this makes me happier than good grades and sports trophies.

Please share yours.
