Yes so last lesson probably starts at 1. Pretty unambiguous I think. Unless they specify half hour lessons in which case obviously 1:30.

Got it.
My long post just above is not relevant then.

But thanks for hearing out my rant

I posted just above. I prefer if companies, schools, etc posted more about end times.

So many recent MS and HS events that I found out ended before they really ended. I need to know something about the format or program.

For example, there was a parent orientation billed as 5-7. The earliest I could make it was 6. My dd was freaking out. I said, they probably do the presentation at 5 and again at 6.

On the day, we were able to get there earlier. We arrived around 5:15-5:20.

We missed a chunk (sorry dd!) and then stayed through the presentation which ended at around 6.

From 6-7 it was unorganized “go ask an administrator” your personal questions, milling about, and people leaving right away. Event over at 6:20 or so.

So, if we came at 6, yes it would have been confusing.

Long story short, they should have indicated why it was labeled 5-7. “Presentation at 5. Meet an administrator 6. Over at 6:30 but counselors available until 7.”

Thanks PPs. Op here. It’s for adult swim lessons but myself and two friends who were going with me each had a different interpretation of the schedule. It’s late but I have an email out to the teacher.

3. You can pick 11a, 12p, 1p or 2pm for your lesson.
4. You can pick 11am-1:59pm but not at 2pm since lessons end at 2pm.

Which of the above came to your mind first?

I’ve seen things like this.

Say the time range: “we’re open for lessons from 11a to 2p”

Say: “last entry at 1:40”

Or whatever it needs to be

I think the first lesson starts at 11 am and the last lesson ends at 2 pm. I would definitely ask to confirm this, though.

None of the above. I would think that all lessons end by 2, but I don’t have enough information to know how long a lesson will last or what time slots are available for lessons.

Nothing comes to mind without context, OP. Hardly any class lasts 3 hours, unless it's a weekend language class. My kids' lasts 2.5hrs.
Tutoring, sport and music lessons usually last 50 minutes and start on the hour.
To avoid confusion, you could say: We offer one 3hr class from 11am to 2pm on Saturdays.
If it's someone else's poor description, contact them and ask.

There are lessons at regularly scheduled intervals. Perhaps you can choose, or perhaps the lessons are divided up by levels, or perhaps some lessons are full so you need to pick from what is left.

The first lesson begins at 11:00. The last one ends at 2:00. You can't come at 2:00 or at 1:59 because there are no 1 minute lessons.
