It's not scars and it's specifically only in the places where I had the welts. Its like damaged capillaries. I see the dermatologist annually for a skin check and she didn't even mention it. It's cosmetic. I thought it would fade with time but it just isn't.
I had allergic reactions on my hands from a different thing, and those did look something like a scar -- the skin was just super erupted and when it healed (after steroids), it was smoother and shiny white sort of like scar tissue. But those have actually now faded and look pretty much the same as the rest of my hands, so I guess it wasn't a real scar.
