I have one in my knee from 1987. A boy had a pencil in his back pocket and was bending over the get something out of his locker, someone walking past me shoved me and I fell into him. He was beyond apologetic. I barely knew him but he was lthat cute guy who was really quiet but cool/popular and did really poorly in school. I was sort of thrilled he was talking to me. It was like a freaks and geeks episode, in which I was definitely the geek. I think maybe his name was Dylan? In retrospect. I wonder if he was dyslexic or had a similar learning disability.

If it’s on the outset layer of skin it will just go away with time. If it penetrated down to the flesh underneath, you really don’t want to be picking at that and there’s nothing to do. My mom took me to a doctor to remove the pencil tip and he washed it out but the mark is still there.

Both boys had to stay in a recess and clean the art room. My son was equally at fault for horsing around. It was more of a wrestling situation for fun while holding pencils. 2nd grade boys are not known for their logical thinking. Both boys thought it was funny. DS is deployed in the Navy and the black spot on his face hasn't impacted his life. Just a small reminder to think before doing anything stupid. Some consequences are permanent.

I don't get what the big deal is. I still have a mark on my finger from when DS accidentally stabbed me 10 years ago. It's faded but still there.

Do you normally have a lot of anxiety over scars and blemishes and the like? I know some people do and having kids can definitely put that anxiety to work. I would suggest you see about how you can get it in check, because there will be more scars, scabs, injuries, and the like that you won't be able to do much about.

My kid has his pencil stabbed in his hand, now there's a cm black mark on his hand. Is there anyway to remove it or make it lighter? I want to use a nail clipper to clip off the black skin, but DH tells to stop that stupid idea.
