We did it last year on a Disney cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. 1 adult, 2 kids. VGT verandah room. 5 nights. Worked out well. Disney is supposed to be one of the pricier ones so you can probably do it on another cruise line.

If doing a cruise I would try to leave a little money in the budget for one or two shore excursions (although often cheaper not to book through the ship). If given the hockey between inside cabin with excursions and outside cabin no excursions, I’d pick excursions. Also beware the advertised price doesn’t usually include things like port fees — you need to clock all the way through to get the real price.

We are going on a RC cruise for just around $5K. Newer ship out of Miami for 4 nights. Cruise was $3200 for ocean view room, flights $1300, 1 night in Miami hotel with points.

Its possible especially if you're okay with an inside room. Honestly, it seems like the airfare is sometimes more than the cheapest room.

Sure.

Depends on the ship and availability.

You can price out the cruise online.

Is it possible to do a cruise during Spring Break for under $5k for one adult, two kids? (including flights to FL)? Or is this wishful thinking? Wanting to do something for Spring Break that won't break the bank.
