My dad worked in the tech industry for 40+ years -- starting well before there was a tech industry and was part of the movement that created a tech industry. He would never say that move fast, break things was the way to go. He thought the best way to go was -- find the smartest people, treat them well, give them a place they will feel like is home, and work with your client base to figure out what they really need and how you can create it for them. It's sad how we've lost our way.

I think Musk likes that style because it speaks to his ADHD. Of course, that style broke three of his rockets, too.

+1. But I'm not holding my breath. They will talk a good game and then fold like a cheap lawn chair just like the House did. I’m basically an independent who is fiscally conservative and for strong borders but I also agree with the D’s on certain issues (I’m pro-choice/pro-gun control/want separate church and state) too. This bill is terrible. It slashes important things while not even achieving what the slashing is supposed to achieve (dramatically shrinking the deficit.)

Many predicted it'd be over by summer, and it came true. Things are beginning to shift without Musk threatening politicians over Twitter/X with money. Trump is still threatening people obviously, but it seems like he's starting to lose his punching power.
