Yes, a pill-poppin society for decades. When you go to a new doctor and the nurse asks, what pills do you take? If you answer ‘none’, she will fall of her chair. It’s so rare.

When we were in France on vacations, I was amazed at how many different potions our kids were given for ear infections or upper respiratory issues.

Here they were typically given one medication.
