I’m a mom who has no time to organize my photos and put them into photo books. I’ve wondered about that as a side hustle for someone.

I think about this too, OP, but then when I think about the time and effort that goes into scaling up these side hustles, I wonder if it's worth it.

For example, I also have video editing skills, and the idea of putting together highlight reels for high school athletes is interesting....but then I'd have to purchase video editing software, and then market myself to parents of these athletes, not to mention the time involved in putting together the product, and it makes me wonder how worth it it is.

Can you write? It involves a lot of unpaid hustle, especially at first, and it doesn't pay all that great at first, but if you build it up, you can make decent money with freelance writing/editing, if it is a skill that you have.

Good point. Maybe OP loves their job and is on a great track. But OP, if not? You are talking about an extra 1k per month, and that is an extra 12k per year -- seems the easiest thing is to just get a job that pays more.

Do you have people and problem solving skills?
You can try managing rental property as a co-host, and take 3-5%, that is a great side job but you have to deal with people.

Are you good with organization and is handy around the house?
Since you mentioned yard work, I am thinking you are willing to do hard work.
For example: I am looking for someone to help sort my garage, basement and many area of my home. Your help will improve life, what would you charge for each room ($500 per room or $1200 for the project?). Also, many parents are looking to have a system in place for the long run, so having shelves or boxes can help but it's hard for them to start...

Something like this will bring you long term revenue, but you have to enjoy doing these type of work, otherwise, it is just better to get a 2nd job (evening or weekend PT job), right?

Is it possible to cut 1000 a month from your current budget, via changing phone providers or insurance or subscriptions or a combo?

Otherwise, a retail or waitressing weekend gig would cover you.

Have you seen what you can do with cutting spending down first? Go through credit card bills and bank statements and see if there is anything that can be cut or reduced. Try posting on the money forum for ideas.

Anything you stop spending, add it to your automatic payment for student loans so that you never see the money. Same with any pay raises.

Check out Reddit - lots of good information on side hustles. Even FIRE communities will be helpful.

Overnight babysitter for school-aged kids - if you can find your way into a network of parents/families who have a need for that and you are qualified.

Tutoring at the middle/high school level, $75-$100 per hour.

Boarding pets in your home - especially if you can build a network vs. doing it through Rover or another service - can be $50-$100/night.

Long story short: I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, financially. I've moved in with a partner and we make $135K each. For now, our housing is quite cheap. I'm finally going to grow up and pay back my student loans in earnest - not just "set and forget" paying the minimum/letting all the SAVE and IDR drama work itself out. But we also want a bigger place. In order to have it all, and meaningfully pay down my debt - and I mean, get serious about it - put myself back on the standard 10 year plan or even try and pay it down in 7 years - another $1000 cash a month would change my life. That's net $1000 - post tax. I'm trying to size the opportunity since I'm in that sweet spot where I still WFH and have been promoted to a senior level but not upper management yet, so I have plenty of work life balance. Of course, I could have used all these years to save and find a side hustle - but trust me, I was making the most of the situation in ways I do not regret.

I also realize that building a rapport takes time, and I won't instantly get there, but within a year of development, what kind of side hustles can bring in this kind of revenue? Or combination thereof? Obviously dog walking alone won't cut it, but I can also do video editing, yard work, random house tasks, or brush up on some other skills. Willing to put in coursework and refine skills on Udemy, YouTube, or Tiktok, but not willing to pay for expensive courses or licenses.

The goal is to be able to move into a townhome with my partner (not this tiny little condo) and to pay $1800-2200/month toward those damn loans.
