You might save even more $$ by going to a glass/mirror place, having them cut a mirror to the size you want, and going to a frame place and buying a walnut frame

I have this vanity.





I've decided after rounds and rounds to do a walnut framed mirror like this:



But I don't need to pay room and board prices for a mirror. Even if I was inclined, the manufacturers are different so the stains won't be an exact match.

Any ideas for how to go about picking a mirror that looks good enough/is close enough match? Am I right that slight variations in the wood will be less bothersome than metals that are close but not quite right (how we got here?)
