Well, maybe Americans don't want to eat this crap either. Maybe if they want more customers they need to improve their food, instead of selling the same crap later at night.

Their target customer is a fast food eater, who may want to eat at hours you consider to be odd, due to the fact that their life is not like your life.

If the food was remotely edible maybe I'd go more often and I'd definitely order something for myself. I used to get the salad or the grilled chicken, neither of which are available anymore.
Two kids' meals and one coffee comes out to $16 with tax where I live, so they're getting plenty for me utilizing their free play space.

Spoiler alert: the major change is late night hours.
This is pathetic and they are totally missing the mark. McDonalds has always been the place you take your kids as a treat and to blow off steam in the playplace. They decided they didn't like that customer base and wanted to become the new Chipotle with higher prices and industrial, uninviting decor that encourages a grab-and-go model. But their food quality is worse than ever!
The only McDonalds I set foot in are the ones with the play area when the weather is bad. I don't even order food for myself, just a coffee and get my own lunch later. Play areas are being removed though. There also used to be a lot of retirees congregating there and they got rid of the booths so they must have found a new hangout. Who exactly are they hoping will eat there without a drastically improved menu?
