OP, how do you know it isn't a symptom of anxiety? Anxiety can be an all-the-time, baseline state -- it doesn't mean worrying about something in particular.

I’ve heard other posters who have found that the irritability was a symptom of anxiety, but my child irritability is pretty much just baseline, made worse by hunger or tiredness. I would say this is by far and away his principal problem, and I’m not sure how to go about helping him. He has a therapist, gets plenty of exercise and sleep, but it’s just so aggravated by so many things all the time. Would love to hear how others dealt
