There aren't any high level memorial day tournaments around this area, most teams are preparing for playoffs or final events for their respective leagues.

Maybe you are talking about the girls?

The 2013 boys (one win and two 2nd place) did well but had their top team playing up a year and no team in the top U12 bracket. The 2015 boys had two wins. There was one other win and one other finalist. Not a single final for 2016, 2014, 2012. Source is their FB brag post.

So yeah, I would say that many VSA teams didn’t make the finals.

Refs could have been better. I prefer the Heliwig park location. The concert at Jiffy Lube on the first day meant that traffic was awful.

2nd or 3rd tier tourney that usually features VSA vs a bunch of other 2nd and 3rd tier clubs. As others noted the good teams are all playing elsewhere this weekend (or off).

Great reason for the VSA parents to get drunk and yell at other teams while they celebrate though.

Would love to get feedback from any clubs that participated in the Canon Cup tournament this year or in previous years.
