The common application is due in early December, so for grades they use 1st MP of 8th grade, plus I think year average for 7th grade. It's my understanding they only see the grades that are part of the program - so English and humanities for CAP, but not math/science (and vice versa for the Math/science programs). The MAP scores I think I read they use the highest from 7th and 8th grade, but I'm not sure.
Thanks. That's sort of what I was thinking, but I was hoping there might be somewhere that made explicit the list of criteria reviewed.
It would seem for CAP:
-- 7th grade grades (average across year) for English, Social Studies (e.g., "Historical Inquiry into..."), [any other? world language, maybe?]
-- 8th grade 1st marking period grades for the same
-- Highest MAP-R (presumably not MAP-M) between 7th grade spring and 8th grade fall?
-- Essay
Does anyone know if the above is correct? Any additional criteria that go in the common app/that get pulled from the system for review? Understanding that the review committee does not employ strict cutoffs, has there been any information about averages (e.g., GPA across the grades reviewed, MAP RIT score) of those offered a spot in the program?
Any similar known criteria for RMIB?
