We wrapped up first weekend in May and were too terrible to be in the post-season. Pretty glad it's over and we can move on to our new club.

Absolutely. You have choices.

We told the club no thank you for the local tourney and are enjoying a lovely tournament while staying in a room overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with a heated pool.

You have choices no matter what you choose.

Sounds like hell to me.

My kid has 1 game a day- 20 minutes away.

We had a party at our house last night. We have a grad party to attend Monday afternoon. It’s been a peaceful weekend without holiday travel or crap hotels filled with soccer kids. Headed to Pilates now…

Accept kick ball above U12 as a legitimate from of soccer. Give up any expectation that there is a disciplined "right way". Low expectations = freedom. This is the way.

Family stayed in town for DS to play in tournament

His team is using about 6 guest players and he isn't playing much

All these little kids going to supplemental small group training is crazy.

If it makes anyone feel better, DS made a few MLSNext teams and did

Not do any of those. Lots of free soccer play (many siblings and cousins to play with) outside of team practices though.

I think this is the issue for many kids. There aren't other kids to do free play with. Mine play recess at soccer, but outside of that there aren't neighborhood kids who want to kick a soccer ball around. They all play lacrosse, football, basketball, and/or hockey. If we want to get kids together who enjoy soccer it has to be this planned thing where the parents coordinate and decide on a location. So might as well just sign up for something where the schedule is predictable. It stinks.

I'm with you. After a spring with so many rainy cold games, it was fantastic soccer weather for my daughter's tournament yesterday (it does help they went 2-0 as well ). Today looks even better.

It's a business model we're supplying.

I will go first.
Why is it so ^*ing long.
No adult wants to be circling for crap parking this weekend when they in normal temps would want to be at the pool, the beach, visiting family etc.
