Lots of fired feds are taking jobs that traditionally go to college kids, and lots of college kids are taking jobs that traditionally go to some high schoolers.
However, I want to caution you strongly about the driving. Teens are the population that's most at risk on the road due to inexperience. Teens these days drive fewer hours than in previous generations. Please inquire about driving experience when you hire one.
I don't know where all the people looking for jobs are. Restaurants are hiring and can't find help. We make $30-$50 an hours, but can't find workers. We do have bunch of young people who sit on their phones and play rock, paper, scissors.
Where are all the people who were laid off? We need a manager too. Lovely place to work. I'm going on year 11.
