PEI and Nova Scotia together, yes. But taking the CAT from Bar Harbor (nice visit on its own) to Yarmouth, then a few days driving up the coast of NS and back is quite doable.

Acadia National Park is great, but if you don't like crowds, demands some planning if you visit during the summer.
Acadia Mountain is a hike in the park, which is on Mount Desert Island. Parts of the park are not on the island - these parts are barely visited compared to the main sites.
You need to be more specific about what you're looking for in terms of how long to stay. I've spent probably 100 days in Acadia National Park and would definitely visit again.

We will be on cape cod for a few weeks this summer working from there but interested in taking a week while we are up there to try a new location. Should we do Acadia mountain, where else, Montreal?
