I feel the same. I also find that the size of the brush head on the revlon works perfects for my shoulder length, long layered hair that needs more body.

I have settled on using a good heat protectant (I use R + Co) and only using the revlon once my hair is 90% dry.

I’ve decided to keep using the Revlon as I just don’t get the same results with other dryers. I only have to wash my hair about 1-2 times a week, and I also let it dry 90% and use heat protectant.

Loved the Revlon at first (and still prefer the shape of the brush) but it fried my hair.

Switched to the Dyson, and while it honestly doesn't work quite as well, hair is much healthier.

I have a ton of wavy, kinky-curly in spots, shoulder-length hair.

I don't know.

But I will tell you that I love my T3 curling iron and have been very disappointed with my Dyson hair dryer, so in your position I would definitely try the T3.

The Revlon has 2 heat settings plus a cool. Are you guys all using only the hottest setting?

Thanks for the recommendations. I am torn between Dyson and Shark Flex. I have wavy hair and sometimes wear it wavy and sometimes straight. I like that Shark has a diffuser.

Can anyone with wavy hair weigh in on what works best for your hair?

The dyson line is completely worth the price. The warranty is outstanding and the product amazing. Sometimes they sell "refurbished" products which seem to just be open box returns in new condition.

I have only tried one brand so can’t compare and contrast, but I love the one I have from Sutra Beauty. My daughter has medium shoulder-length hair and I have thin, fine chin-length and we both use it on half-dry hair. Only takes a couple of minutes for us, but I don’t know how it would work for anyone with extremely thick or curly hair.

I was initially surprised by how large it is (again, don’t know whether that varies or they’re all the same), but it still works out ok with my short-ish hair.

(Side note: I love the brush so much that I also bought their similar straight iron type product, and I despise that! The brush design seems to have been a one-off success.)

Got mine from Macys and they have sales all the time. I’ve been following their current daily beauty sales and happened to notice it’s 50% off right now, which means only $40.

I have the shark flex style. I use the round brush attachment the most. It is phenomenal - people literally come up to me and say my hair is great. For some reason it just gives me a really smooth blowout. I’m sure the Dyson is as good, but the shark is less than half the price.

Only downside is it is VERY loud. I keep a can of foam ear plugs in my bathroom and wear them when I use it.

Hated the Revlon like the AirStrait. I don’t seem to lose much hair to it and it’s easy to use.

I will check out the options you mentioned for L’ange — that was not on my radar.

I've tried quite a few. My favorite brand is L'Ange---they have a few different models, depending on what your hair needs are. I have this one in the larger size:

It works really well, glides smoothly, and doesn't leave a ton of damage in its wake.

Revlon---too hot! It damaged my hair.

Drybar---works well, but I was getting breakage from the bristles.

T3---just meh.

Dyson Airwrap---doesn't do it for me. I think my hair is just too thick for it to handle. It takes me forever to dry my hair with it because I have to use tiny section to get decent results.

Hive mind: I’ve tried and disliked the Revlon hair drying brush (lost too much hair!) and I currently have the Drybar round brush. I like it, but have already replaced it once due to a motor issue and the replacement is showing it may be on its last leg.

The Dyson Airstrait looks cool but it’s $500. The T3 looks decent (lower ratings) and is under $150 so better priced.

Any pros and cons for either model? Am I missing another amazing brand to consider?
