Nope, if she can hang with the boys and can ignore the slights and comments it’s definitely worth it from a development standpoint. Speed of play alone is night and day different. Knowing when to stop is key though and that is completely dependent on the individual girl’s mentality, skill set and physicality. Good luck!

I know there are a few girls in this region who play on MLSN teams, but the ones I have heard about seem dual rostered to either GA or ECNL teams. Is there any drawback at the U13 and U14 levels for girls ONLY playing MLSN? I can see the value add for showcases as they get older (ECNL now, GA emerging), but are there other cons I am not thinking about at the pre-high school pre-recruiting ages to accepting her preferred offer and having her play with the boys?
