The problem is not deporting people who have been deemed ineligible to stay for FFS. The problem is not deporting violent criminals. No one wants them here. The problem is rounding up people who are waiting for their cases to be heard and putting them on a plane in the middle of the night and sending them to a place they've never been without due process. Speaking from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bondi praised the task force’s efforts, attributing the operation’s success to the Trump administration’s renewed focus on immigration enforcement.

President Trump gave us one directive: make America safe again,” Bondi said. “We are so grateful to you, Governor, for everything that you’ve done... because we are coming for you if you are here illegally, you are committing crimes in our country.”
Governor Youngkin detailed the makeup and mission of the task force, which includes state police, corrections officers, and federal agencies such as the FBI, DEA, ATF, and U.S. Marshals. According to Youngkin, those arrested include members of MS-13, the Tren de Aragua gang, human traffickers, and drug traffickers.
“These are violent criminals who shouldn’t be in this country to begin with,” Youngkin said. “Over the last two months [the task force] has been targeting violent criminals who are illegally here, and we just surpassed 1,000."
Youngkin also took aim at Arlington County, criticizing its self-declared sanctuary status and accusing it of obstructing the task force’s operations.
“I want to challenge jurisdictions like Arlington County,” he said. “You should be part of the solution as opposed to standing in the way... we are going to continue to make sure that Virginians are safe.”
Bondi added that the effort reflects a new "gold standard" for collaboration between federal, state, and local law enforcement, contrasting it with what she described as failures by previous administrations.
“Our borders were wide open. These violent gang members and human traffickers were coming into our country,” she said. “Crime has consequences.”
The two leaders encouraged other states to follow Virginia’s model and join the broader effort to curb undocumented immigration linked to criminal activity.
“Help us make America safe again,” Bondi concluded.
