You don't wear any raincoat at practice. You could put some thermal shirt underneath but that's pretty much it.

Nike academy or adidas tiro rain jackets are both reasonable and do keep them reasonably dry during an hour or two practice. Nike has vents and breathes pretty well.

We have a lightweight goretex equivalent. Different brands have similar technologies . You want it light, fully waterproof and breathable. It won’t be cheap (think $150-$200) but on sale should be able to get it more reasonable. But it will keep them dry in pouring rain games / practices and works for warm weather . My DD who hates to wear things like this - still will wear it - of course only if pouring. It’s lightweight scrunched up in bag.

Our old club had a waterproof shell option for rainy days, when we switched sponsors they forced us to buy multiple pullovers but nothing rain proof.

OP is your kid allowed to wear whatever? Mine has to be in club sponsored kit always.

I have a North Face raincoat for myself for dog walks that has always kept me dry.
My 12yo has 3 raincoats but won’t wear any of them to soccer practice

For weather like today, mine DD may wear an Adidas pullover. It has the thermal shield which makes it warmer.

Raincoats that are actually waterproof would be horrible to practice in because there’s no breathing/cooling down of the internal air. In about 5 minutes your kid will be soaked in the inside from sweat. Our kids just put on a long sleeve layer and deal with getting wet.

But, if you are talking about sideline parent raincoat, look to REI.

They can't wear a jacket in a game so why wear one in practice? Get used to playing in the elements. They will end up taking it off after 15 minutes anyway because they will be too hot.

Mine will not wear anything other than their standard jerseys. Their problem, not mine. I did invest in a Dry Guy boot dryer, though, and have been shocked by how much we've used it. Helps prevent stinky cleats!

Will also second PP's endorsement of rain pants as a parent, though. Lesson learned after some absolutely miserable tournaments.
